For the past two decades, the MPF System, which was based on employment relationship has provided basic retirement protection for employees. It is a cornerstone for maintaining harmony and stability in the labour market and the economic development of Hong Kong.
The MPF is a crucial pillar of retirement protection for employees. Employers provide suitable MPF choices for their employees. This not only strengthens their retirement protection, but also makes them feel the care of their employers, which helps boost their morale, spirit and sense of belonging.
Over the years, I’ve participated in the “Good MPF Employer Award” ceremony organized by the MPFA, I have witnessed a lot of warm-hearted employers making early preparation for their employees. Choosing MPF schemes which are much better than the basic requirements, thus providing extra retirement protection for their employees which is an expression of warmth and care.
I hope every employer will look at the retirement protection of their employees from a long-term perspective and provide suitable choices for their employees.
